Any Brand Filbert Style White hog bristle brushes from ¼” to 1-1/2” + Get as many types and sizes of brushes as you like (flat, round, synthetic, sable, etc…) But you will probably be using a 1” Filbert the most.

Natural Hair Paintbrush Set – choose one of the sets you would like to use

Painting Medium 

Small bottle of liquin (or alkyd painting medium) 

Experiment with: linseed oil, stand oil or other types of painting mediums.

Gamblin Solvent Free Gel Medium Oil 150Ml

Palette

Grey Matters Paper Palette is easy to use in class. Or wood, plexiglass, etc….

Wet Paint Palette with Airtight Lid

Palette Knife and other painting tools 

Good for mixing, applying, and manipulating paint. Pick a size and shape you like

Small Painting Knife

Canvas or Panel (Good for Class Work)

Stretched Canvas or Gesso Wood Painting Panel 11X14 or 16X20 

Feel free to paint on any support you like, except “canvas boards” Experiment with Primed Linen, Primed plywood panels, primed masonite, Gessoed paper, Mylar, etc…. You must try many different painting surfaces to find which works best for you. You can prime most any surface with Acrylic gesso/Real gesso/Oil Primer/Rabbit skin glue/acrylic matt Medium to create a: Smooth/Rough/Absorbent/Non-Absorbant/ Dark/Light/or Colored painting ground.

Paint Thinner 

Can of odorless thinner, get at least a quart.

Murphy Original Oil Soap
