Ladakh

Located in the northernmost part of India, Ladakh is part of the left flank of the Tibetan plateau in the Himalayan region, bordered by Tibet to the east, Pakistan to the west, Xinjiang to the north, and Himachal Pradesh to the south.
Ladakh is sometimes known as “Little Tibet” or “Shangri-La”. With an elevation of 3,000 to 6,000 meters, this ancient kingdom is nestled in the Himalayan Mountains — a spiritual sanctuary to open your heart and creativity.
Besides Lake Pangong as a pilgrimage for fans of “Three Idiots”, Ladakh’s stunning scenery, unique climate and terrain of snow-capped mountains and sand dunes make it a perfect destination for photographers!
Historically, Ladakh is part of the Silk Road, a major stop for Xuanzang on his walk to India. The local culture and religion here is divided into Leh, which is pre-dominantly Tibetan Buddhism; and Kargil, which is predominantly Shia Islam.

A Unique Experience

Nature’s Beauty
Ladakh provides open sky, barren mountains, snow-capped mountains, oases, river valleys and lakes with different hues. Villages for scenic photography and portraits. Dazzling stars and galaxies in the middle of the night!

Geotourism
Tourism that sustains or enhances the distinctive geographical character of a place—its environment, heritage, aesthetics, culture, and the well-being of its residents. Ladakh has many centuries old monasteries with unique architecture.

In-depth Localized Connection
Local interaction with associated monasteries, farms, villages and nomads. Local experts to share stories and their experiences.

Contribution
In addition to sight seeing, we hope to contribute to local non-profit work in Ladakh through education, sustainability, medical care and preservation of indigenous culture and wisdom.

Health Transformation
Interspersed with silent and moving meditations to ground ourselves along this journey.

Amateur and Professional Photography
Whether you’re using an iPhone or a professional gear, we will try to help you take the best pictures for landscape and portrait shoots.
