Elevate your artistic practice this summer with our intensive, project-focused studio sessions. Whether you are preparing for Private High School or College Admissions (AP Portfolio), or a young artist (ages 10+) aiming to excel in national competitions, this camp provides the focused environment needed to create masterful work.

Requirement: Previous observational drawing experience is required.

The camp for creative middle & high school students. Develop skills, collaborate with peers, and unleash your creativity!

Portfolio Group:

This camp is perfect for high school artists who want to take their talents to the next level. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the AP Studio Art curriculum, helping you create a masterful portfolio that showcases your unique artistic style. This portfolio can not only enhance your chances of getting into an art college but also give you an edge when applying to selective colleges. Join us to connect with like-minded artists and develop your skills to their full potential!

  • This program provides a unique opportunity for high school artists to develop their portfolios with a focus on professional readiness.
  • Our experienced instructor will guide students through the process of preparing a portfolio that showcases their artistic abilities in the best possible way. Students can choose any materials to work on their art pieces with previous drawing experience. (Previous observational drawing experience is required.) Drawing, painting, digital art, ink, 3D, and other mediums are all welcome.
  • Students will gain valuable experience in submitting their work through a slide demo, an important skill when applying to art colleges and beyond.
  • By participating in this program, students will be better prepared for college applications, with a portfolio that demonstrates their technical skills, creativity, and critical thinking abilities.

Studio Group:

This is an intensive, class moving from the basics of painting/drawing materials and or digital art techniques, issues of color, light, narrative and most of all representation. Students will begin working from still life set-ups in the studio and gradually move towards more ambitious approaches including figure or animal painting. Towards the end of the class students will be encouraged to work on a project or projects that more closely reflect their ideas.

It is recommended to register for at least three sessions. 

Week 1: Working from still-life set-ups
Week 2:  Figure or animal painting
Week 3: Create a project that reflects their ideas.
