Emily Chu

Account Coordinator @ The Trade Desk | UC Berkeley

Hi! I’m Emily! I started going to Ting Ting’s when I was around 9 years old. After graduating from Hillsborough High School, I went to UC Berkeley and just graduated in May 2024 with degrees in Economics and Media Studies. Previously, I interned at Disney, was an IRTS Summer 2023 Fellow, and was in the MPMS Class of 2024. Currently, I work in Ad Tech at The Trade Desk in NYC on our Client Services team. Even though I don’t do art anymore, I miss it dearly! Other hobbies + loves of mine: pilates, binging tv shows, hosting dinner parties, fashion/shopping, + reading. Feel free to reach out anytime 🙂

Jackie Eschbach

Neurobiology & Behavior PhD student @ Columbia University

Hi, I’m Jackie! I grew up in Hillsborough, NJ and started taking art lessons with Ting Ting when I was just five years old, all the way to the end of high school. I studied computational neuroscience at USC and I am continuing my studies in the Neurobiology & Behavior doctoral program at Columbia. I still pursue art as a hobby in my free time, and I am so thankful for everything I learned from Ting Ting!

Atharva Katkar

First Year Accelerated student BS/MD @ NJIT/NJMS

I started going to classes at York Fine Arts when I was 8 years old, when I first started off with using pastels on my first day of class. Since then, I’ve learned so much and gained so many skills in different mediums such as colored pencil, acrylic, and watercolor. I attended Ms. TingTing’s classes for nearly a decade throughout much of elementary, middle, and high school and I have loved it ever since. I have definitely grown as an artist over the 10 years, but also expanded my creativity and analytical skills through her classes, and has been an enjoyable extracurricular of mine throughout my journey as well!

Catherine Li

Architecture student @ Syracuse University

Hi! I’m Catherine, a current architecture student at Syracuse University! I wanted to study architecture because it is a very complex form of design with many specializations and different job opportunities. Though, I had a primary interest in drawing and painting growing up. Through my program, I’ve studied abroad in Seoul and Florence for each semester, which were rich opportunities. Currently, I am interested in new ways of representation and am always looking at inspiration/techniques!
